About the Presenters
Dr. Holly Brand
Professor & Speaker
For more than 26 years, Dr. Holly Brand has served as Professor of psychology at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis. Being at MBU and teaching college students is one of her top life blessings and she was honored with the “MBU Distinguished Professor” award. She has a Ph.D. in psychology from Saint Louis University and specializes in the areas of child, adolescent, and adult development.
In 2000, Holly began her public speaking and writing career, featuring her signature Yellow Umbrella message. She is a CLASS graduate (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Seminar) and enjoys speaking at events ranging from women’s, youth, and marriage retreats to conferences and seminars. Her book, Christ & Culture, in 2015, was followed by Christ & Culture 2.0, in 2024. Through that resource, her desire is to demonstrate a literal side-by-side comparison between what culture says about relevant life topics and what the Word of God says about the same.
Holly is married to Todd Brand, president of Brand Asset Management Group, a wealth management firm. They are blessed with three children, Tanner, Walker, and Tori, and a very recent addition of Olivia as a daughter-in-law. As a family the Brands love spending time outdoors, playing, laughing, and just being active. Together, Holly and Todd enjoy leading Bible studies on marriage and mentoring young couples. They are actively involved with Focus on the Family, where Holly serves on the board of directors.
